I have many years of experience in luxury retail where I have seen how designers were brilliantly taking inspirations from the past to feed the future.

My former boss was always telling us “inspirations are everywhere, if you can’t find it look again” so I decided to start Retro Classic Feel to share what I believe has to be remembered in the most clean and honest approach.

For the same reason, behind an inspiration there is always a deep research to find why and understand how something was started in the first place.

I was born in Genoa a city on the Ligurian coast pressed between the Mediterranean sea and the Appennino.

Liguria is well known for its beautiful villages, towns were fisherman and farmers keep their businesses unchanged ever-since, but also for spots where pastel-coloured houses and cobbled squares makes historical association with celebrity and artistic visitors.

Nevertheless my teenage years were spent by an unreal attraction to unveil something I did not know, looking for something that I could not find.

The 80’s roaring fashion industry was bold, geometric oversized but there were also many attractive subcultures coming up and long hair, biker jackets, tight worn out jeans, trainers and boots started to attract me. During the 90’s there was nothing that could keep me in my lovely home town, so early 00’s I moved to London where everything seemed to be happening.

I haven’t stopped moving since. I grew up, I learned a lot from friends, mistakes and colleagues, I got married and I have a daughter, I still haven’t stopped looking for a sparkle.

I find very attractive to look at the past, very exciting to discover forgotten treasures as I love their character coming out from dust, but, most of all, the surprise understanding how much they haven’t changed.
